Acolytes

An acolyte is a person who follows the teachings of Jesus Christ and who in service to Jesus helps the pastor in worship service. An Acolyte is the Pastor's helper, who lights and extinguishes the altar candles, who may help with the offering, who may help with the Holy Communion, who may help with the Baptism service, who may be a flag-bearer or crucifer. An Acolyte sets the mood for the worship service, bringing in the light that represents Jesus Christ.
